System Verification and Validation Engineer - Space Systems

As an integral part of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in the Software Engineering section in the Engineering Department on the NASA JSC Engineering, Technology and Science II (JETS II) Contract.

Someone in this role would typically have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience. This position can be hired at any level in our professional career framework, depending on business need at the time of hire.
**International travel may be required. Straight time overtime, 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), and/or 1 day of telework per week may be available**

SOME OF YOUR MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

* Developing test cases and test scripts for software verification efforts.
* Integrating software from various vendors.
* Deleloping tests for dynamid physical systems.
* Perform data analysis and simulation.
* Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience.
* Experience working as part of an Integrated Product Team to develop and test high criticality software Experience with highly autonomous systems.
* Experience with web-based collaboration tools Proficiency with C/C coding in a Linux environment Experience with agile software development.

PREFERRED

* Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python.
* Experience developing software across the full development life cycle Knowledge of the NASA Gateway Spacecraft systems and software Experience with the following web-based collaboration tools.

* Slack
* SharePoint Experience with Git/GitLab version control

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency maybe a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
