Job Posting for Payment Poster at Oceans Healthcare
The Payment Poster is responsible for date entry of payments, contractual allowances, and other adjustments in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains accurate account balances in accordance with contractual obligations, fee schedules, or regulations is required job duty.
Essential Functions:
- Post all payments received from the bank lockbox with 24 hours.
- Post contractual allowances and other write-offs as authorized by supervisor, director, or VP in accordance with authority chart.
- Posts non-payments EOBs received from payers using appropriate transaction codes.
- Post and reconcile all ERAs to bank balance.
- Scan and upload EOB’s remit and other related documents to document storage.
- Posts refunds as authorized by management and in accordance with authority chart.
- Ensure accurate account balances for proper account processing and reporting, requesting contractual allowances, adjustments, and balance transfers as necessary.
- Investigates posting errors and makes corrections as required.
- Completes daily and weekly productivity/performance reporting as directed by management.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
