Job Summary
The Fulfillment Chargeback Specialist manages all activities related to Client Retail Chargebacks. Playing a critical role in researching and processing disputed shipment transactions to help mitigate financial loss. This position will work closely with the Fulfillment Centers (FFCs) in a direct to consumer (DTC) and business to business environment (B2B).
Job Responsibilities
- As a person motivated by curiosity, you will be accountable for handling several aspects of the chargeback dispute resolution process including shortage claims while ensuring compliance with all retail routing guides for several clients/brands
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze chargeback and shortage details and maintain accurate, complete documentation of every phase of the process
- Ensure record keeping is accurate and updated
- Record chargeback details and correspond with the fulfillment teams and clients to achieve resolution
- Capture relevant data from internal and third-party systems to substantiate transaction validity
- Manage retail portals (e.g., Target, ULTA, Sephora, Amazon)
- Comfort using spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel, Microsoft Office)
- Ability to learn new programs, type quickly and generally multitask on a computer
- Proactively communicate the status of orders, current or anticipated problems, and circumstances that may affect delivery, quality and/or price to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain any Key Performance Indicator as needed for FFC related measures.
- May be assigned to lead special projects and/or assist manager as needed.
- Client facing.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience. Knowledge of business, supply chain or technical discipline preferred.
- Experience in procurement and/or supply chain, preferred.
- Requires at least six to twelve months on the job to become minimally proficient and understand various phases of the job.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organized.
- Intermediate to Advanced computer skills.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) required.
- Encouraged to make process improvement of existing processes and take initiatives to make changes under minimum supervision.
- Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of products, processes and procedures in all interfacing departments.
- Understands part manufacturing, processes and general sequence of operations.
- Requires sufficient demonstrated experience to immediately understand and proceed with the responsibilities of the position with minimal assistance.
- Skilled negotiator and able to resolve disputes using tactful, diplomatic and ethical methods.
- Demonstrates positive behavioral skills and a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and influence, motivate people.
