This job supervises direct reports in the effective implementation, utilization and optimization of Epic, as well as Epic’s integration with other information systems. Provides technical expertise to application implementation.

Education

Required - High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred - Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience

Required - 4 years of Epic experience.

Certifications

Required - Epic certification.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Familiar with a variety of Epic concepts, practices, and procedures and provides technical expertise to application implementation.

• Leadership skills and ability to provide work direction, evaluate team members provide informal and formal feedback about performance on a regular basis, develop team members, and apply disciplinary action as needed.

• Ability to function with a high level of independence and use good judgment to plan and accomplish individual and team goals.

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to travel throughout and between facilities and work a flexible work schedule (24/7, weekend, holiday).

Job Duties

• Supervises, trains, develops and schedules department staff.

• Oversees daily operations to accomplish team goals.

• Communicates effectively and mentors staff to address and escalate issues appropriately.

• Supports information system departmental goals to align with the company's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

• Performs other related duties as required.

The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
