Job Description
Purpose of the Job
Ocorian’s Solutions team is responsible for the onboarding of new clients on to the Ocorian platform to ensure a smooth landing and to work closely with our Sales Team to maximise our success on new mandates. The team, made up of fund accountants and system specialists work to futureproof the lifecycle of the structure by maximising the use of technology used for fee calculations, subsequent closings, reporting and carried interest.
This Solutions Director role is responsible for working closely with the Sales Team on fee proposals and presentations to win new business and revenue and to oversee the process of clients landing on the Ocorian platform, being an escalation point for any issues that we many encounter on the way.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a solid understanding of fund accounting and the lifecycle of closed ended funds. They will be able to communicate clearly with prospective and new clients around technical aspects of funds in a one to one setting and in presentations.
Main Responsibilities
Sales Activity
- Review and advise on fee proposal content and fees
- Review content of new business presentations and ensure relevant to opportunity
- Attend new business meetings with clients and present on our approach to onboarding, technology and use of systems and answer any questions
Client Onboarding
- Lead the onboarding process of clients and be the main point of contact for the solutions team
- Review the LPA and other documents to determine the fund specifics
- Work in conjunction with the fund accountants to have the systems set up correctly
- Work in conjunction with the report writers and the accountants to ensure all reports and system outputs are system generated
- Lead and manage the handover to the client delivery teams
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Qualified accountant
- At least eight years’ proven funds experience
- Experience with working with a fund administration platform, ideally efront
- Highly computer literate (with knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Experience of participating in new business pitches
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
