Lead Graphic Designer

Position Summary

We are looking for a creative professional with impeccable graphic design skills, photography skills and solid career experience. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced, fun team environment and is adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires working knowledge of print and digital design as well as photography shooting and editing. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience and a strong professional portfolio (NOT student work).

Octave Marketing Agency is a full-service marketing agency based in Asheboro, NC. The agency partners with small and medium-sized businesses, locally and nationally, across many industries to provide marketing support.

Responsibilities & Duties

· Understand the importance of consistency in branding with the ability to recognize, apply and evolve a client’s brand.

· Create diverse print and digital projects including branding, brochures, signage, vehicle wraps, apparel, headshots, product photography etc.

· Take the lead on the creative direction of projects and ensure that each project is cutting-edge and adheres to client specifications.

· Communicate by phone, in person, via email and in writing with clients. Attend meetings as part of the Marketing team with clients to discuss their needs and requests.

· Work with minimal supervision as a member of the creative team in a fast-paced Marketing environment.

· Communicate and collaborate with other graphic designers and marketing team members.

· Work closely with project managers to ensure that each client’s needs are met on time and within budget.

Skills:

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom). Experience in Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus.

· Knowledge of current design trends in marketing and graphic design.

· Independent worker with initiative and design confidence. Understands and applies the rules of design.

· Advanced design and skills with expertise in layout, typography, photo retouching, illustrations etc.

· Strategic thinker with a creative mindset.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines while coordinating multiple projects and tasks.

· Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

· Detail-oriented, with proficiency in Mac environments.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 5 years experience with high-level graphic design and photography.

· Experience with project management tools such as ClickUp, Asana, or Monday.

· Must provide a professional portfolio that includes graphic design and photography projects. NO STUDENT WORK/PORTFOLIOS WILL BE ACCEPTED. This is NOT an entry level position.
