Job Overview:
The Content Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with the U.S. and Germany Marketing Team as well as product management to create various forms of marketing content. This role will manage content optimization and publication based on audience/keyword research and past performance.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties (other duties may be assigned):
- Created and further develop content (based on the OCULUS product benefit matrix).
- Develop and implement target group-specific multi-channel content (focus on text) for customer communication. Some examples include product texts for brochures, texts for websites and mailings.
- Research topics and text conception with a focus on different target groups, while taking into account common search engine marketing criteria.
- Maintain brand consistency across all tactics.
- Develop clear and direct collateral to assist leaders, stakeholders, and partners support our objectives. This includes presentations, emails, articles, newsletters, videos, internal social media posts, videos and graphics.
- Keep abreast of the key industry and latest marketing trends to continuously innovate on content creation.
- Advise on branding, positioning, communications, and other marketing issues. Handle
- Bring creative, innovative ideas and solutions to enhance existing communications channels.
- Responsible for writing and storytelling: develop an understanding of how to customize messages for different audiences and platforms incorporating/positioning the company’s key values into the narrative and messaging.
- Attend tradeshows, educational events, and other company events.
Qualifications
- Certification, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or relevant field
- Must have 2 years experience in content writing or related field
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Awareness of how to structure and build text
- Understanding the needs of different content formats and how to apply them in their respective channels (social media, websites, blogs, print, and more)
- Knowledge of SEO
- An ability to describe product features in a creative and informative way
- Strong research skills to produce high-quality content
- Proficient in Office 365 knowledge (Email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Adobe platforms, social media, Trello, Canva, and StoryChief
- Teamwork mentality
- Self-starter with a high level of persistence and strong results focus
- Professional work ethic and demeanor
- High attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize, and problem-solve
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet daily deadlines
- Previous experience in the ophthalmic or optometry industry is helpful
- Journalism background preferred
- Storytelling skills preferred
Location: Prefer to be onsite at Arlington, WA facility or Port St. Lucie Facility. Will also consider remote work.
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Physical demands and work environment:
- The company provides a smoke and vape-free environment on company premises for its employees, customers, and visitors.
- Ability to perform a desk job for several hours. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to travel about 10-25% of time to tradeshows or other events
- Ability to travel internationally; obtaining valid passport will be required
