What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Program Manager position at Oculus?

Reality Labs is looking for a Compliance Program manager within Biocompatibility team to support RL products. Program manager will have a good understanding of Biocompatibility review requirements and will partner with cross functional teams to drive material selection, testing and compliance documentation. Biocompatibility PM is expected to have a good understanding of consumer electronics, analytical testing, demonstrated experience in program management and has worked in a collaborative cross functional, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include engaging with cross functional partners and suppliers to drive material selection and biocompatibility testing during product development process, clear communication to peers and leadership and help build processes and specifications.


Compliance Program Manager Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of analytical testing methods (HPLC, ICPMS, LC/MS, GS/MS) and basic knowledge of Biocompatibility review
  • Partner with cross functional team members and suppliers to drive selection of biocompatible materials, sample coordination and coordinate testing throughout product development process
  • Clear and effective communication of Biocompatibility goals and findings with cross functional team and leadership
  • Manage and track analytical testing results and biocompatibility assessment and setup a process to track and communicate efficiently
  • Ability to prioritize programs and issues to meet timelines within a fast paced environment
  • Engage with biocompatibility experts and cross functional teams towards building work flows, processes and SOPs



Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biomedical science, Engineering or related field
  • 2 years experience of project management in a corporate setting
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects successfully and experience prioritizing issues/projects effectively
  • Knowledge of ISO 10993 standards and reviewing materials for biocompatibility
  • Understanding of analytical testing methodologies
  • Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative, cross functional environment
  • Communication skills and experience presenting clearly to technical and non-technical audience
  • Analytical skills and experience thinking outside of the box



Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biomedical science, Engineering or related field
  • Experience working in consumer electronics industry
