Job Description

Work Experience / Qualifications
- 5 years as a UI/UX designer working primarily with b2b applications that required balancing brand or system guidelines with flexible design patterns
- 10 years in web design generally, preferably in the media and entertainment industry
- Experience designing for multiple content types, including long-form editorial material, visually-stunning marketing pages, and functional collaborative or workflow systems (think Salesforce, Monday, etc)
- Ability to work directly with multiple types of end users, consolidating their input into a collaborative design and refine until approved.
- Proven ability to work in with highly agile teams, requiring incremental mockups instead of highly polished design.
- Broad understanding of mobile device design implications, and how to effectively navigate them
Required Skills
- Ability to conduct user research that involves complex functional rather than aesthetic concepts
- Ability to create user personas?by identifying key user groups and creating representative personas of their behaviors and demographics
- Ability to work closely with end users, Sr. Product Manager, Sr. Business Analyst and CP’s Product/Process Owner(s) to gather and evaluate user requirements
- Proven ability to create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, the voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings
- Ability to create user journey process flows, storyboards, and sitemaps and effectively and communicate with key stakeholders
- Must quickly and iteratively develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, low and high-fidelity mockups
- Ability to communicate design rationale to key stakeholders
- A sharpened eye for spotting and creating quality user experiences
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
- Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)
- Communicate with product and engineering teams, as well as business stakeholders and executive leadership
- Ensure the voice of the customer is present by incorporating customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design
- Performing metrics analysis post-launch to inform design/UX optimization efforts
- Possess excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Highly Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working on complex projects, such as:
- Simultaneous functional workstreams within a single application
- Highly matrixed teams that require frequent context switching
- Iterative agile projects that span multiple years of development
- Consumer products experience, either for a licensee, licensor, manufacturer or retailer
