Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant

ODK Media, Inc. is a media group headquartered in Fullerton, CA, United States that provides access to premium international content through its owned and operated streaming platforms, including OnDemandKorea, OnDemandChina, and OnDemandViet. It also distributes content to global streaming services, cable operators, and movie theaters, serving as the Asian media hub for AAPI communities across the country.

We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant to join our growing team, who will be responsible for the daily and monthly accounting tasks. They will also prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.  The ideal candidate is passionate to learn, improve and innovate accounting procedures with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

●       Ensure the accuracy of the accounts receivable and AR allowance records

●       Monthly collection of outstanding invoices, Preparation and sending invoices

●       Working with other departments to record all sales, to create invoices and to follow up customers for unpaid invoices

●       Month end closing for parent company and subsidiaries, including but not limited to revenue recognition, revenue accruals, deferred revenue, loan reconciliation, payroll accrual and fixed assets

●       Borrowing base calculation and treasury management, including cash forecasting, daily bank reconciliation and check deposits

●       Sales commission calculations and accrual

●       Assist Accounting Manager in monthly general ledger closing and reconciliations

●       Assist in the annual audit and tax filings

●       Calculate and manage monthly and quarterly royalty and revenue share reports for content providers

●       Other duties as necessary under the direction of the CFO/Accounting Manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

●       Two or more (2 ) years of accounting and finance experience

●       Knowledge of US GAAP is required

●       Strong attention to detail

●       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under tight schedules

●       ERP experience preferred

●       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

●       Advance knowledge and skills of Excel and QuickBooks

●       Bilingual in Korean preferred

ODK Media, Inc. offers a competitive salary and benefits package.  The reasonable estimated salary for this role ranges from ($24/hr to $32/hr).  Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
