We are seeking a Per Diem Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at our location in Pasadena, CA.
Just steps away from Historic Route 66, Clearview Outpatient – Pasadena is easily accessible from the 210, 134, and 110 freeways and is in close proximity to metropolitan Los Angeles, Burbank, Glendale, and all of the San Gabriel Valley. Clearview Outpatient – Pasadena utilizes a combination of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and experiential therapies to meet the individual needs of each client we treat. Our facility specializes in treating adults, 18 years and older, who struggle with various mental illnesses, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and co-occurring autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

How You Will Contribute:
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team. In this role you will be responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, medication consultation, and psychiatric follow up appointments for our clients. In addition to Psychiatric duties, the PMHNP also completes nursing duties to assess and evaluate the medical functioning and stability of patients within the program.
Relationships and Contacts
Within the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with staff, clients, families, and peers, and leadership throughout the organization.
Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clinical providers, referral partners and vendors, as needed.
Essential Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities
- Completes Psychiatric Evaluations and ensures medical necessity for all individuals enrolled in the PHP program.
- Provides medication management services for individuals enrolled in PHP as needed. Available on-site as scheduled and by telephone in unusual or urgent situations related to medication.
- Provides consultation, education and related information to patients and the families to increase success of treatment and program engagement.
- Collaborates as part of a multi-disciplinary team with staff on clinical treatment planning and recommendations.
- Completes medical record and other documentation in a timely and accurate manner as needed to meet clinical, payer and other requirements.

Qualifications
What We Are Seeking:
- Board Eligible or Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. All necessary requirements must be met to practice psychiatry in California.
- Experience with mental health and RTC/PHP/IOP and/or psychiatric hospital experience desired.
- Superior communication skills working with patients, family members, community stakeholders and staff.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience with co-occurring disorders and/or substance use disorders a plus.
- Performs duties independently, responsibly and with a high level of integrity.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
