Biomedical Equipment Tech II

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an Biomedical Technician II to support the Naval Medical Research Unit in San Antonio, TX (NAMRU-SA.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

 

• This person will be directly responsible for overseeing and managing multiple work orders at a time to complete all necessary maintenance

• They will need to have strong experience in performing calibrations, validations, and verifications for a large variety of equipment• They will also communicate with external vendors to schedule preventative maintenance, order parts, and schedule any other necessary services for large pieces of equipment• They will move, install, re-locate, and re-install laboratory equipment• Other tasks include maintaining and updating lab equipment documentation and update all digital platforms as well

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen 

Clearance: Secret

Education: Associate degree in Applied Science or Biomedical Engineering

Years of Experience: 4 years of experience in biomedical engineering supporting complex systems (disinfection, anthesia, or lab analyzers)

Other experience: 

• Prior military experience
• CBET II Certification
• 4 years of experience in biomedical engineering supporting complex systems (disinfection, anthesia, or lab analyzers)
• 4 years of experience performing biomedical machine calibrations, validations, and verifications
• 4 years of working with external equipment vendors and coordinating preventive maintenance and ordering parts

 

Onsite worked performed on base in San Antonio, TX
