JOB SUMMARY
The Purchasing Admin is responsible for providing consistent, dependable purchasing practices to support our internal and external customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two years technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and procurement experience
Two years office experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Construction or Purchasing experience preferred
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Working knowledgeable of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, accounting, and business contract language as it pertains to the purchasing function
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
Be self-motivated
Ability to bring projects to completion on time
Have strong organizational skill sets
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary contact for incoming request for call in purchase orders
Build and maintain data base of vendors that supply OEG materials
Follow-up on payment terms, as well as change orders
Expedite deliveries and conduct follow-up procedures as necessary with field employees
Coordinate invoice issues with vendors and accounting department
Assemble packets into system on purchase orders processed
Responsible for maintaining and updating vendor line cards
Track returns to vendors from inception to completion of a credit from vendor
Coordinate invoice issues with Accounting Department, Field Personnel and Purchasing to be processed in a timely payment manner to capture payment terms negotiated with vendors
Provide support in managing weekly pricing files
Coordinate equipment transfers as well as jobsite office trailers on the paperwork end
Download orders from Material Management to Spectrum
Perform additional duties as assigned
