Temp Press Operator II


We are looking for a TEMP- Press Operator for our Dayton, OH facility. In this role you must be able to perform daily maintenance including equipment cleaning, making minor adjustments on assigned production equipment as necessary to maintain and enhance production of quality parts in an efficient fashion. Related skills include set-up for production on the press, job prioritizing and sequencing.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Performs typical press operations to support the assembly floor.
  • Responsible to ensure all quality standards are met on all pieces produced.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor/lead, and/or quality.
  • Able to perform daily equipment cleaning, making minor adjustments as trained to perform on assigned production equipment as necessary to maintain and enhance production of quality parts in an efficient fashion.
  • Maintains attendance within company guidelines, starts work on time, works assigned schedule to include overtime.
  • Communicates clearly with all co-workers and supervision, able to work as part of a team.
  • Satisfy all quality standards and quality processes, conform to current health, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
  • Related skills include set-up for production on the press, job prioritizing and sequencing.
  • Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasts stated above.
  • Able to perform basic set-ups on these machines and tools that are used in them.
  • Ensure own safety and the safety of others by following all safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills, ability to read and write.
  • Inspects parts visually, or with gauges, according to procedures, to verify conformance to specification.

Your Profile:


  • Commits to the corporate core values, goals, mission and vision.
  • High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Able to do prolong standing 9 hours or more.
  • The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Good dexterity, attention to fine details, and depth perception to enable detail hand coordination.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand eye coordination and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
  • Computer skills to include basic understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets and Access database to complete end of day reports.
