Summary:

This job is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of vehicle titling including obtaining and managing titles for retail vehicles, wholesale vehicles and processing titles for sold vehicles (both in state and out of state).  The Title & Compliance Manager will oversee all associates in the Title Department and ensure that vehicles are titled in compliance with state rules, regulations, and laws.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Managing the processes and work of the employees in the title department.
• Ensuring adherence to laws, quality standards, deadlines, and procedures. 
• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming titles from all purchasing channels including auctions, wholesales, rental car companies, trade-ins and direct purchases from consumers.
• Work across all functions and departments including purchasing, operations and sales and F&I to resolve titling issues.
• Management of corrective and preventative actions related to title management and titling process.   
• Running, reviewing and dissemination of title and titling reports.
• Oversee examination of vehicle titles for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements.
• Review, investigate, and resolve title and titling issues; escalate to internal legal department and senior management when necessary.
• Resolve titling issues through interaction with customers, vendors, dealers, and regulatory agencies. 
• Manage associates in both the internal and external title teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position supervises employees.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in automotive titling required.
• Must be innovative and organized with experience implementing processes and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience required.
• Must be detail, task, and process orientated.
• Must be willing to lead by example and assist the department wherever needed.
• Experience working with or for governmental agencies a plus.
• A valid Florida driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record in the sole discretion of Off Lease Only.
