Summary:

This job is primarily responsible for assisting automotive mechanics and professionals in finding and ordering parts for repairs and upgrades.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership.
• Research the availability of certain parts, either within the facility or from other sources as necessary, and search part number using the computer or standard catalogs.
• Contributes to managing inventory and ordering parts and works to meet customers’ needs.
• Maintain knowledge of which parts are in inventory, require reordering and must be specially ordered.
• Handling parts payment collection and making sure all parts are billed correctly through the service department and repair shops if necessary.
• Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacturer from time to time, and completing the appropriate record keeping.
• Referring to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of the vehicle being serviced.
• Help ensure that all parts in the dealership are maintained in an organized and neat manner.
• Generate PO’s using CDK software in order to buy the parts and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in car dealerships or working with vehicles is required.
• A Valid Florida drivers License at the sole discretion of Off Lease Only.
