Summary of Position:
The Dog Park Assistant Manager is to be a resourceful, detail-oriented, high-performing self-starter.  Under the supervision of the Dog Park Manager, Off Leash Dog Park Assistant Manager is responsible for effectively communicating, explaining, and enforcing park rules, regulations, and policies to staff and Off Leash customers. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Meet new pups and pup parents, make customers feel welcome and ensure the check-in/entry process is seamless. 
  • Assist in helping resolve potential client and team issues via phone, email and in person.
  • Assisting Dog Park Manager in communicating, explaining, and enforcing park rules, regulations, and policies to staff and customers.
  • Assisting in overseeing park employees using interpersonal skill and conflict management skills, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist customers and employees in watching the dogs interact and make sure that the interactions are consensual and safe for others.
  • Assist in verifying registration of participants and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff and supervisors. 
  • Assist in scheduling the attendants and overall operations of the dog park. 
Qualifications and Requirements: 
  • Previous management experience preferred. 
  • Experience managing 10 or more employees.
  • 1 or more years of experience in an animal environment.
  • People and team orientated. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Energetic, caring, and passionate about animals.
  • Okay with getting messy (sometimes!) and can lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Certifications in dog behavior and handling (preferred).
  • Attention to detail and ability to observe animal behaviors on a daily basis.
  • Operate basic computer software.
  • Alpharetta, GA: Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
  • All applicants must be able to multi-task, be self- motivated, detail-oriented, punctual, be able to work in all weather conditions, and be able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
