Cafe Manager

Role Specifics
We are looking for a motivated person that will treat this specialty coffee shop as their own. The Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations and administration of the café. Their key purpose is to ensure the café is a successful business that provides exceptional service.

• Permanent Full-Time position (38 hours) over five days, weekdays, with no split shifts, inclusive of annual and personal leave

About you

• At least 12 months experience in a similar role
• Trained barista, with knowledge and passion for specialty coffee
• Proven leadership experience within a fast-paced environment
• Sound decision making and conflict resolution skills
• Keen interest to inspire others to learn and develop

Main Tasks

The successful applicant will have the ability to do the following:

• Responsible for and oversee all day-to-day operations
• Lead by example and be hands on with your team in all aspects of the café’s operations
• Effectively manage of all staff ensuring quality of service
• Deliver exceptional service, ensuring a high standard of consistency and quality
• Responsible for stock management and ordering, and coordinating with vendors and order supplies
• ensuring facilities comply with health regulations, licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines and ensuring cafe is always clean, functional and of suitable appearance
• Teaching and training staff; coffee making, food preparation and customer service
• Deal with customer complaints, delivering exceptional customer

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
