What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Office Innovations?
Responsible for receiving product shipments logging in, checking freight for accuracy and damage, collecting/signing packing slips, bills of lading, freight claims, etc. and submitting them to the appropriate parties, taking photos, storing product, and adjusting inventories as needed. Responsible for pulling product from inventory, logging it out, staging it for loading, and adjusting inventories as needed. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe warehouse and the ground around the building as well as securing the facilities daily. Responsible for asset management in the warehouse as well as all aspects of disposal of product in OI’s warehouse as directed by management or customers. Must be able to perform other duties as assigned by management. Computer skills to utilize warehousing/inventory spreadsheets/software and email information to clients/customers. Product knowledge and be able to demonstrate the ability to obtain accurate inventory counts. Must be able to securely load and unload trucks using forklift, pallet jacks, carts, etc. and the ability to maintain that equipment. Must be able to properly pick up and deliver product to ensure no damage. Must be able to properly load and shrink wrap pallets for storage. Ability to lift 75 pounds or more on a frequent basis; occasionally 150 pounds as well as the ability to stand, bend, squat, and kneel up to 95% or more of the time. Must provide own tools as outlined on tool list. Must be skilled in using tools and other equipment. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record for operation of company vehicles. Must be able to safely operate a forklift. Must promote a positive and professional image at our offices and on all job sites. Must have customer service and problem-solving skills, service orders, etc. correctly and in a timely manner. Must be able to follow directions, pay close attention to detail, and show the ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information. Must support and uphold all company policies/procedures, including safety procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of a high school education or equivalent. Previous experience in warehousing/inventory control, cleaning, installation, and/or light mechanical preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license for operation of company vehicles and maintain a good driving record.
