Estimated Appointment End Date (Continuous if Blank) Full/Part-Time Part time Job Type Temporary Compensation Job Description Position Summary The purpose of this position is to assist the Technology Services team in providing voice and network services for the State of Oklahoma. This includes phone system support, call center support, and network support. This will include assisting Voice team with tickets related to phones, call centers, and assisting the network team with network support. Position Responsibilities Assist the network team in the planning, development and implementation of data networks for the state. Assist the network team in providing network services for the state; establish and maintain networks and systems, perform preventative maintenance, evaluate systems performance, respond to malfunctions and operating problems and identify and resolve causes. Assist the network team in the installation, testing and modification of data networks and other communication components; coordinate and perform systems tests; adjust, calibrate and modify equipment to components to conform to specifications. Education and Experience Requirements include: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Similar technical degree. Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in undergraduate coursework. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge/Skills/Abilities include: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products Skills in verbal and written communication Skills in customer services Ability to work well in a team Valued Skills and Experience At least 30 hours of coursework completed Ability to use Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 products Physical Demands and Work Environment This position works in a comfortable office setting for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Physical demands include the ability to bend, crouch, stoop, sit and/or lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more. The position uses manual equipment, including dollies and carts. Occasional travel may be required. Schedule This is a one year internship, 15-20 hours per week position.
