The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of an IT Asset Management Specialist. This position is in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The incumbent serves as the OCIOs information technology asset management specialist responsible for overseeing the receipt, disposition, tracking, refresh, and retirement and/or disposal of all IT assets for the duration of their lifecycle.

Duties include, but are limited to:

• Creating, implementing, and recommending continual enhancement of asset management processes, policies, and procedures
• Utilizing an asset management software system or database to scan and log all assets received, maintain accurate inventory and update asset assignments throughout asset lifecycle
• Performing regular audits and compliance validation of assets
• Reporting on IT inventory and investigating missing or unaccounted for assets
• Ensuring all items and serial numbers are tagged, recorded, signed for, and checked for damages or issues
• Performing trend analysis on IT inventory and providing inventory reports to the supervisor
• Lifting, moving, or transporting IT equipment in excess of thirty pounds
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Four (4) years of progressive experience performing the related duties and responsibilities such as overseeing the asset management full life cycle process; monitoring and tracking IT equipment and inventory; maintaining IT data within an asset management database; preparing and analyzing reports; and making recommendations for process improvements. CHAMP or CSAM certification highly desired. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. independently.
