What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff RN - Comprehensive Medical Unit (Nights) position at Ohio Health?

Summary:
We are excited to deliver our innovative comprehensive team approach to patient care. We have a comprehensive charge nurse, a pharmacist and a physician who round on each patient every day from 8 am to 11 am. All patients are seen by the same hospitalist on the floor. Our physicians are a part of the MedOne Hospitalist group and the same physician rounds on the unit for a week at a time and switches off to another one of five physicians who round on the unit. The unit consists of medical surgical and intermediate patients. We utilize RN's and LPN's, each taking their own patient assignment with support from our Patient Support Assistants (PSAs). Our model of care allows for unique opportunity to impact throughput of patients and pilot innovative ideas for patient care.

This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
