We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will oversee daily site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Oversee daily site operations and provide on-site supervision of the field workforce.
- Manage the ordering of materials, equipment, and supplies to support day-to-day project needs.
- Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure they meet contract specifications and quality standards.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, including Owners and Architect/Engineer representatives.
- Collect and report daily project progress data for cost tracking, billing, and documentation.
- Coordinate all site testing and inspections to maintain compliance and quality.
- Monitor and track project costs, including labor hours and material usage.
- Implement and uphold the company’s Safety and Health Management Program on site.
- Lead by example and mentor others in promoting a commitment to a safe, injury-free work environment.
- Manage project timelines and create detailed short-term schedules to meet deadlines.
- Prepare and submit craft workers’ timesheets for payroll and recordkeeping.
- Participate in project meetings, including coordination with subcontractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- OSHA Certification (30 hours is preferable)
- First Aid/CPR certification (optional)
- 5 years of K-12 school construction experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Autodesk Build
- Broad understanding of industry
- Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts, and Purchase Orders
- Strong ability to read drawings and specifications
- Delegates work appropriately
- Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality
