Director Regional Health, Safety, Environmental

As a Regional Health, Safety, Environmental Director here at Honeywell, you will oversee and direct the health, safety, and environmental initiatives for multiple plants in both chemical and traditional manufacturing industries. Your role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the region. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the overall health, safety, and environmental performance of our organization.

You will develop and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices, reduce incidents and accidents, and mitigate risks. Your ability to collaborate with plant managers, cross-functional teams, and regulatory agencies will be crucial in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

You will report directly to our Vice President of Health, Safety, and Environmental and you will work out of our regional office located in CharlotteNC, Des Plaines IL, or Baton Rouge LA. This role requires frequent travel to various plant locations within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional health, safety, and environmental strategies and programs
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Conduct audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Provide guidance and support to plant managers and employees on health, safety, and environmental matters
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for further improvement
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance health, safety, and environmental awareness and knowledge

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives


WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
  • Professional certifications in health, safety, and environmental management
  • Experience in managing health, safety, and environmental programs in chemical and traditional manufacturing industries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
