Description
The Artesian Restaurant is looking for friendly, fast-paced Bussers to join the team. If you have an interest in guest service, we want to hear from you!
The primary duty of the Busser is to ensure that unoccupied tables are ready to receive new guests. The Busser removes dirty dishes, sanitizes tables, cleans the seats and sweeps or vacuums the surrounding floor as needed. The Busser will be responsible for clearing tables when customers leave the restaurant, and working closely with Dishwashers to make sure that there are always clean plates and flatware for each table. Also assists servers in delivering food and filling or re-filling beverages.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or related experience, ideally in a resort setting, preferred.
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Comfortable working independently and managing workload while supporting a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Punctuality and reliability are critical.
- Good verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Valid New Mexico Food Handler certification required before hire.
- Valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit a plus.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
- Ability to work in an environment where the employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, noise, and odors.
- Ability to stand for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
