This facility is a highly automated meat processing/packaging facility located in Kansas City, KS.
This position works 12-hour shifts; 6 am- 6pm, or 6 pm - 6 am. Rotating two-week schedule with a 3-day weekend off (Friday, Saturday Sunday) every other week.
With little to no supervision provide maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of ammonia refrigeration systems, HCFC systems, hot water, compressed air, and steam systems. Must be able to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment and the ability to effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
Responsibilities:
Performing and consulting on robust preventative maintenance and refrigeration repairs.
Expertly performing emergency mechanical or electrical repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, pump, pressure, and hydraulic plant equipment.
Understanding boiler theory, RETA Operator I, and IIAR Basic NH3 Refrigeration schematics will be required for this role.
Must be able to pass a HAZ-Mat physical and pass the training to be certified as an Emergency Responder Technician Level and participate on the Emergency Response Team.
Must assist and support training and development of more junior Refrigeration Technicians.
Also responsible for minimizing downtime due to equipment and system failure.

Temperatures inside plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.
Basic math skills; percentages, fractions and measurements.
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months industrial refrigeration experience, graduate of an industrial refrigeration program (I.E., possess a RETA 1 Operator License or Operator 1 License). Please list these on your application or resume.
Must have Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance including Pneumatics, PLC’s, Motor controls, and shop equipment operation desired.
3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position:
Minimum of 6 months industrial refrigeration experience, graduate of an industrial refrigeration program (I.E., possess a RETA 1 Operator License or Operator 1 License). Please list these on your application or resume.
