CNC Estimating - R&D CNC Swiss Specialist Position: As a CNC Swiss Specialist – R&D, you will report directly to the CNC Production Development Manager.  You will be responsible for managing several facets of process development and R&D for Swiss CNC, as well as supporting ongoing operations in the CNC areas in our CT locations. Research and development activity where we will be developing a process and/or new technology Creating/developing a CNC program for a new part on a CNC or Swiss Specify and purchase tooling and machine accessories Cutting a sample run of parts, and performing measurement on critical features Seeks to understand all facets of a manufacturing process by working of post machining processes to provide a complete part, working along with additional R&D engineers to develop and execute post operations if required, ie. Parts finishing, cleaning, post ops, packing Creates’ plan(s) that allow the monitoring and understanding of success post implementation. Fully Documenting prototype run and/or developmental notes.  This information may be used internally or externally to develop a Production Process Assist with new program launches, particularly with the development and execution of protocols, work process instructions, SIIP’s and any additional technical documents Resolve production issues as they are assigned Key Attributes: Experience in Swiss CNC programing and setup is required. Experience in CNC programming and setup of turning and milling machines preferred. Trained in Part Maker and MasterCam programming software preferred.
