Plastic Molding - Molding Technician
Molding Technician or Set Up Operator with 3 years’ experience with excellent mechanical and molding process troubleshooting skills. Must have the ability to perform complex set-up procedures. Must have a good working knowledge of molding machines, molding machine controls and auxiliary molding equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, sensors and robots/end of arm tooling are a plus.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Daily set ups of production jobs
Execute process development DOEs
Perform new mold qualification activities
Maintenance and troubleshooting of the molding process
Operation of molding machines
MOLDING TECHNICIAN ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO:
· Have general knowledge of comparators, dial indicators, vision equipment, micrometers, calipers and basic hand tools
Have good communication skills
· Have good attendance
· Be responsible for their work
· Be able to lift moderate loads regularly (under 40 lbs.)
· Have a positive attitude and be a team player
· Prioritize changes in a fast pace working environment
