About us: Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center in Lawton, OK is a community-based center with a primary focus on mental health and substance abuse treatment. Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center also has satellite office in Altus and Duncan. The inpatient and outpatient services this center provides include special groups and programs for adolescents, persons with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, seniors and older adults, women, men, and criminal justice groups. About the position: The Recovery Support Specialist will be working in our Medication Assisted Treatment (Suboxone) Program located in the Altus, OK satellite office. The main function of this job is to provide support and advocacy throughout the recovery of our consumers. This position will work as part of a robust treatment team to provide our consumers with resources, treatment plans, and obtaining skills for self-advocacy. Position Information: Full-time, Non-Exempt Located in our Altus, OK office. Salary: Sr. Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: $30,620.00 ($14.72/hr.) plus benefits! Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Sr. Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: This position requires that the application be currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, high school diploma or GED, demonstrates personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery, and two years of PRSS experience. Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist: This position requires that the application be currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, high school diploma or GED, and demonstrates personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery. Recovery Support Specialist: This position requires a high school diploma or GED, demonstrates personal knowledge or advocacy in recovery, and the ability to become a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
