What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse II-Infusion position at OKLAHOMA CANCER SPECIALISTS MANAGEMENT COMPA?

Under general supervision, provides general nursing care for patients following established standards and practices. Maintains efficient patient flow, assists with patient care, i.e., vitals, assessments, and procedures. Maintains provider schedule and performs miscellaneous tasks assigned by providers or RN. Is responsible for intake and demographic entry, coordination, and scheduling of new patients. This role heavily focused on patient scheduling. This position will receive the calls from the clinic for add-ons, scheduling add-ons. Takes outside patient calls. Notify nursing staff on patient check in and add-ons. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduated from an accredited program for practical nursing. Entry level license practical nursing. Prior work in a hospital or clinical setting preferred. Must hold current Oklahoma LPN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing. Current CPR certification required. Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required. Must maintain continuing education requirements.

As a clinical care facility that treats highly immunocompromised patients, Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute (OCSRI) strongly believes employees should be vaccinated. Effective October 4, 2021, all new hires will be required to be vaccinated. If vaccination series is not complete, the series must be completed within 30 days of hire or employee will be terminated.
If vaccination is declined by employee due to ADA or religious beliefs, HR will discuss potential alternatives (reasonable accommodations) to receiving the vaccine in accordance with external guidance. (i.e., N95 Mask long term, etc.) Documentation required. Request for exemption will be reviewed by a committee consisting of Human Resources, Safety and Compliance, and Medical Review Board.
