***THIS IS A PRN (ON CALL BASIS) POSITION**
Duties of the Radiation Oncology RN includes assisting patients with support and education, phone triage, provide care and follow up to ill and recovering Radiation Oncology patients. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional needs of the patient. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited program for professional nursing education. OCSRI is willing to train the right candidate. Oncology and/or medical/surgical experience highly desirable. Growth opportunities once an oncology certification is obtained. Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer is a plus. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current CPR certification required. Must maintain continuing education requirements.
