International Admissions Operations Specialist

Position Summary:

The International Admissions Operations Specialist assists with all operational duties related to International Admissions, including applicant file management, managing prospective student inquiries, generating office reports and assisting with recruitment events.

Minimum Qualifications:

• No prior experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to two years of experience in a higher education environment, preferably international student services, admissions, or other student facing role.

Job Duties:

• Evaluate international undergraduate applicants for admissibility.
• Review international graduate applicants for admissibility or provide applicants information to specific department for review.
• Communicate admissions decisions, immigration issues, or request for additional documentation with students throughout the application lifecycle.
• Liaise with internal groups to manage applicant files.
• Assist with communications through the IA email box and other communication outlets.
• Serve as a point of contact for international applicants, providing timely and accurate information regarding admissions requirements, procedures, and deadlines.
• Utilize the admissions CRM platform to manage an applicant’s file by uploading academic and immigration credentials, means of communication, and admission decisions.
• Assist in organizing or analyzing data to create reports to track admission processes.
• Impute student academic and immigration records into university platforms.
• Make and maintain international student admission and advising appointment schedules with professional International Admission staff.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the international admissions workflow to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Supportive role in working with student employees.
• Contribute to special projects and initiatives related to international student recruitment, enrollment management, and diversity initiatives as assigned.
• Assist with international events such as: International orientation and other OCU events.
• Edit/proofread communication forms for current and future international students.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite with the ability to acquire new technology quickly.
• Strong written communication and verbal presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with a multicultural mindset.
• Proficiency in admissions management systems and software applications (e.g., Slate, Banner, Salesforce).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred

• Familiarity with international education systems, credential evaluation, and immigration regulations.
• Experience working with a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
• Ability to communicate well with international students coming from different cultures and regions of the world.
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Pay: $35,000.00 per year
