Job Posting for Scheduling Coordinator at Oklahoma Proton Center
The scheduling coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the clinic workflow. With a primary function of clinic scheduler, the scheduling coordinator will complete a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. This role would also include being a back-up for the front desk and intake department.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and executing clinic workflow.
Assist Patient Intake at the Oklahoma Proton Center with obtaining pertinent records from outside sources and upload into EMR as needed.
Assists the providers in all aspects of the patient’s initial consultation and follow-up.
Schedules radiation follow-ups and procedures.
Sends out approved physician dictation to referring providers.
Completes documentation in EMR in accordance with CMS MIPs requirements.
Sends orders for patient diagnostic testing to include labs, imaging, etc.
Responsible for acquiring results and notifying Physician of results on all interim reports.
Sends out referrals.
Maintain open communication with front desk, Nursing staff, etc. as it applies to patient add ons/changes in schedule and changes in treatment plan or patient status.
