Job Summary:

This team member will assist with the application and administrative processes of the OSU Jobs System and will require the ability to solve problems over the telephone, by email, virtually, or in-person. OSU Jobs System processes may include the following:

- Answer general inquiries from departmental staff, employees, and applicants
- Research solutions and obtain accurate information
- Review and post job vacancies online
- Administer the background check program and complete new hire background checks
- Verify job descriptions are updated
- Review offer letters
- Provide quality customer service and administrative support regarding the OSU Jobs System
- Assist with a variety of other projects

To be successful, the individual will need to possess excellent people skills, maintain accurate records, work in close team environment, adapt to frequent changes, and enjoy helping others find their fit at OSU.

The ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential information is required.

This position is part of a Career Development Plan. Final position placement will be determined by candidates experience and education. A full application includes a cover letter, resume, and three professional references from former supervisors.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School/GED

Two years clerical/customer service experience.

Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.

Requires strong typing and computer skills with demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Excellent people skills with proven ability to work in a close team environment and ability to adapt to frequent changes.

The person in this position frequently communicates with customers and must have the ability to effectively exchange accurate information to provide excellent customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Four years of experience.
