What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant General Manager (AGM) position at Old Town Pizza?
POSITION SUMMARY
The AGM position will work with the General Manager to ensure that EVERY team member hired understands, and is capable of being friendly, respectful, and professional always and under all circumstances to work as a TEAM.
Minimum Starting Annual Salary (2021): $62,400
**Working a minimum of 3 night (closing) shifts per week with at least 2 of the shifts being on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
AGM Responsibilities
Sales growth
Interview, hire, train and then Lead and manage all Team Members
Training
Scheduling
Ordering
Inventory management
Coaching
Assist GM with Written Performance Reviews every 6 months for every employee
Keeping Restaurant clean, safe, comfortable, and always ready for customers
Help keep operational (labor, food, paper, beverage, etc.) costs within acceptable limits
Ensure all equipment is properly used, cleaned, and maintained. If necessary, contact our Operations Manager to schedule a repair.
Along with the GM be the “face” with the local community, attend fundraisers, chamber of commerce functions, etc.
SHIFT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Accounting for all customer payments (responsible for register)
Pouring alcohol
Answering phone
Taking customer orders
Taking customer reservations
Checking in with customers regarding their dining experience
Handling any customer complaints
Making sure employees are staying busy working as a team with focus on customers
Closing out each night, last one out
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
California Food Handler Card
Must be at least 21
Basic mathematical skills: ability to make change
Basic reading and writing skills
Basic computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Multi-task oriented
