Door Assembler

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand and demonstrate the function of measuring tape to 1/16"
• Identify all components of a standard door (lock stile/hinge stile, rail, glass)
• Identify all parts of a standard frame (lock jamb, hinge jamb, header, threshold)
• Able to fabricate and assemble all types of rails.
• Install a full product line of custom hardware.
• Able to assemble hinge stiles.
• Understand and display proficiency in rail, standard HW, and S20 areas
• Troubleshoot hardware assembly issues.
• Display proper use of hand tools.
• Follows all safety guidelines.
• Ability to sand out chips or imperfections on glass doors.
• Must remove scratches on glass doors.
• reading hardware blueprints
• reading door sketch to ensure proper hole placement
• Ability to decipher hardware modifications to ensure proper installation.

Requirements

• Must at least be 18 years old.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Must be detail-oriented & able to work with limited supervision.
• At least one year of previous work experience in a fast-paced warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility, is preferred.
• Must display mechanical skills. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently
• Able to grip and carry thin material, such as glass
• Able to walk/stand on a concrete floor for regular work shift (approx. 8-12 hrs. a day, 5-6 days/week)
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with the same climate conditions of the region in a non-climate-controlled facility (Heat, Cold, humidity, etc.)
