Machine Operator – Shawnee, OK
Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope®, a division of Oldcastle, is the leading supplier of products specified to close the building envelope. They
include: custom-engineered curtain wall and window wall, architectural windows, storefront systems, doors, skylights and architectural
glass.
Summary
The Operator is responsible for the safe operation of various equipment and machinery with the goal to maximize production and
efficiencies within the plant. Along with this, some product testing, quality control, and flow organization are needed. There are day and night shift opportunities available.
Pay range for these positions starting at $14.50 to $17.00 per hour plus night shift differential for those positions on night shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Able to use and understand machinery that is peripheral to the primary equipment in each department- Understand and follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Recognize product defects and notify supervisor immediately of any issues
- Ability to use and understand product labels for process flow
- Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job
Requirements
Prior experience in machine operation in a manufacturing or related environment- Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Must understand units of measurement and be able to perform general mathematical equations
- Must be able to work overtime with flexible ending times
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision
- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.- Must be able to stand and walk on a concrete floor for eight or more hours
- Must be able to wear company-issued safety shirt, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, chaps, and hearing protection
