JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about pastry and baking, are eager to learn and work hard, and bring good energy to work. We offer a structured training program as well as flexible schedules to support your other goals.
At Oleana, you will—
- Spend two days a week working with pastry chefs crafting desserts
- Spend three nights a week plating desserts during service
- Learn how to compose beautiful food
- Cook with lots of high-quality ingredients
- Work on an incredible team to meet the challenge of high standards and high volume
- Gain depth of knowledge about Middle Eastern / Turkish cuisine and different spices
Qualified candidates will –
- Have at least one year of experience cooking in a restaurant kitchen
- Have a working knowledge of kitchen basics, e.g. cleanliness, safety and organization
- Treat customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect
- Work in a clean and organized fashion
- Follow clearly documented food safety procedures
- Work as a team and take direction from multiple managers
- Be able to read and follow written recipes, deal successfully with multitasking and be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
- Exhibit a desire to learn and be challenged creatively
- Have a strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Have excellent attendance and punctuality
- Have a desire for long-term employment
- Be able to work 40 hours per week every week
- Be available nights, weekends, and some holidays
COMPENSATION
- $23-27/hour that includes a percentage of our kitchen appreciation fee
