Human Resources Clerk Overview
The Human Resources Clerk supports the Human Resources Department, working collaboratively with HR team members in Employee Records, Onboarding, Recruitment and Benefits as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains and updates employee files, properly storing documents in an efficient manner.
- Reviews records and documents for accuracy.
- Supports onboarding activities and processing of hire documents.
- Supports recruitment activities as assigned.
- Supports benefits activities as assigned.
- Communicates clearly, both in writing and orally, with others.
- Maintains absolute confidentiality of employee and organizational information and documents.
- Provides secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages; maintaining equipment and supplies as assigned.
- Receives and distributes incoming department mail.
- Uses office equipment efficiently.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Education And/or Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of administrative office support experience, HR experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Must be able to work well in a team environment, working in a collaborative, friendly manner.
- Must demonstrate work that is organized, accurate and thorough.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
