Laborer- Camp
Overview :
Seasonal work in support of various construction and environmental clean-up projects in Wainwright, AK.
- Provide general labor support as the project requires.
- Demolition of buildings, site clean-up, manual material handling.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Coordinate with and work around heavy equipment operations.
- Set up and maintain job site safety equipment.
- Perform daily tasks in a safe and workman like manner in accordance with company policies.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Education and / or Experience :
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Emergency responder training is a plus.
- Experience working in safety equipment preferred (fall protection, eye protection, hearing protection, insect protection, etc).
- Experience using power tools preferred.
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
Additional relative experience may be required based upon the needs of the project.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
- Current Driver’s License preferred, but not required.
- 40 Hour Hazwoper certificate required for some of the projects.
- Confined space certificate required for some of the projects.

Job requires the ability to perform task on all areas and aspects of construction project. Must be able to climb ladders for heights up to 60 feet and crawl for distances of 50 feet.
Work Environment :
Work location is in rural northern Alaska and may include exposure to extreme temperatures. Some of the projects will be in North Slope villages, some of the projects will be at remote camp locations.
Travel to the job site by small plane. The work will be outdoors during the Arctic Spring and Summer (may extend into Fall) - anticipate working outdoors in extreme cold, high winds, rain or snow, and occasional mosquito swarms.
Work may be performed near moving mechanical parts and / or vibration. Work may be required in areas with high noise levels, fumes or airborne particles, or electrical shock hazards.
