JOB OBJECTIVES
Welcome every guest, in person or on the phone, like family by providing a warm, friendly greeting and a smile. Build connections with guests by inquiring about their needs and expectations; provide 100% Guest Delight by fulfilling and exceeding their expectations. Provide friendly and attentive service by personalizing the guest experience, introducing them to our menu items, recording orders accurately. Ensure To Go! orders are ready and accurate when guests arrive for pick up. Sincerely thank guests and invite them to return. Process server cash out accurately.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Treats all guests, team members and managers with dignity, respect and caring
- Displays a helpful, friendly and approachable attitude towards guests, team members and managers
- Consistently follows and supports Olive Garden’s systems, policies and procedures
- Consistently arrives to work on time and ready for shift; is neat, clean and well groomed,
according to Olive Garden appearance standards
- Practices teamwork by communicating with and assisting others to ensure a great guest and team member experience
- Adheres to and practices all food safety and sanitation standards, local (or applicable) laws
and Olive Garden guidelines
- Uses equipment and performs tasks safely as directed
- Greets guests, in person or on the phone, in a warm and friendly way to make them feel
welcome and appreciated
- Assists guests by answering questions regarding Olive Garden and the local area
- Uses product knowledge to describe food and beverage items and to answer guest’s questions
- Assembles prepared food and condiments correctly following Olive Garden standards
- Checks prepared orders for accuracy and reviews order with guest in person
- Provides a fond farewell and a sincere “thank you” to every guest
- Displays a sense of urgency to maintain a clean and guest-ready To Go! Area and assists
in maintaining the alley
- Completes assigned side work before, during and after the shift
- Processes server cash outs accurately
- Maintains accurate guest checks and manages cash, credit and coupon transactions,
adhering to all cash handling policies
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Performs duties that require bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, and transporting items
(weighing up to 30 pounds)
- Works by standing and by moving in small and crowded spaces up to 8 hours or longer if needed
- Required duties may include the use of an automobile in delivering Hospi! Runs to guests
(valid driver’s license and auto insurance required)
