Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced Buyer responsible for handling procurement and pricing negotiations for the facility resolving any, quality, invoice and inventory related situation, supporting and participating in continuous improvement efforts. The position involves frequent interaction with external suppliers and internal production departments to interpret and ensure customer requirements are met. Working both independently and as part of a team, the successful candidate will have excellent mathematical skills and an analytical mindset. You will provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions.

Responsibilities
- Reviews supplier pricing, quality and delivery to determine selection of suppliers
- Performs order follow-up for timely delivery in support of schedule
- Monitors supplier performance using Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics
- Communicate and conduct supplier business reviews with plant and division personnel at all management levels
- Create purchase orders (POs) within the ERP System and resolve incoming shipping discrepancies. Obtain corrected documents, replacements parts, RMA's and credits
- Participate in the negotiation of suppliers/categories. This includes pricing, packaging/shipping, identifying potential suppliers, contract terms, quality, and all other aspects of the procurement program.
- Meet with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and build long-term partnerships. Including accountability for acknowledging daily purchase order confirmations from suppliers and proactively sharing any discrepancies with the appropriate teams.
- Coordinate with production scheduling, estimating, sales and preflight departments to obtain information, resolve problems and identify purchasing requirements for new or redesigned products.
- Identify and develop alternate sources of supply for key parts and materials.
- Maintain knowledge of and inform other departments of new developments in material, equipment, and techniques.
- Maintain quality standards and resolve problems related to unsatisfactory materials received.
- Support all levels of the organization as it relates to their involvement in the procurement of goods through the supply chain.
- Highly proficient in developing & improving Excel based tools as well as managing and analyzing to provide data driven decisions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years Proven experience as buyer in manufacturing.
- Proficient math ability with an analytical mindset.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Advanced excel skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
- Knowledgeable in commercial printing, such as layout, spoilage, standards, finishing, etc.
- Able to work independently
- A degree in Business, Statistic, Industrial Engineering, Inventory Management or related discipline or equivalent job experience.

Ability to calculate area, circumference, and volume and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
