Oliver Inc. is looking for an accurate Estimator responsible for determining the most economical layout for projects based on available equipment, by gathering information and analyzing important metrics. The successful candidate will be involved in frequent interaction with design, customer service, sales, and production departments to interpret and ensure customer requirements are met. Working both independently and as part of a team, the successful candidate will have excellent mathematical skills and an analytical mindset. You will provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions.

About the Role:
As our Estimator, you will:
- Reviews estimate request, checking specs and other determinants. Contacts appropriate person to obtain missing information or to clarify request.
- Obtains paper prices if unusual stock and suggests possible alternatives.
- Advises sales and production of any possible problems.
- Prepares estimate by utilizing pertinent information from the system as entered by sales: description and quantity, paper size, stock, appropriate press, outsourcing requirements, etc. Obtains preliminary estimate.
- Reviews preliminary estimate for correct pricing; adjusts proper paper counts, make-ready time, press run time, etc., as necessary. Obtains revised estimate and reviews it for accuracy.
- Enters estimating information into summary sheet.
- Generates output of quotes and provides final estimate to Sales Department.
- Maintains familiarity with both commercial and carton packaging.
- Review and analyze documentation for completeness to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Regular interaction with design, graphics, customer service, sales, and manufacturing departments to interpret and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Provide any special instructions to vendors and appropriate internal departments.
- Review new/complex work with manufacturing
About You:
You're a fit for the role of Estimator if your background includes:
- Minimum 2 years in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and ability to learn new computer systems (ERP and Layouts)
- Familiarity with cost analysis and project management principles.
- In-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
- Proficient math ability with an analytical mindset.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to calculate area, circumference, and volume and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Familiarity with inventory control, planning and scheduling policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Printing, Packaging and all facets of Binding/Finishing is a plus.
- A degree in Business, Statistic, Industrial Engineering, Inventory Management or related discipline is preferred.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions and to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
