We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Visual UI Designer to join our team and help us drive growth and improve the performance of our digital channels and products. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design Director, Information Architect, UX Designer, Strategy and Analytics, and the marketing team, to create seamless and engaging user experiences that drive business results.

What you will be doing:  

  • Partner with UX designers to ideate on human-centered user experiences and produce high-fidelity design mockups from UX wireframes.  
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create innovative, best-in-class, user-centric solutions. 
  • Produce beautiful digital experiences that take into account business and user objectives, brand guidelines, and business requirements.  
  • Design user interface elements, components, web page template layouts, and other design elements for design sprint deliverables, including digital style guides, user testing prototypes, and maintain design system and component library documentation. 
  • Iterate on UI designs based on user research and analytics to improve digital products. 
  • Present concepts, select photography, produce icons and other graphical elements, and provide rationale to defend design choices during creative and client reviews. 
  • Work closely with team and clients to understand their product offerings and business goals, incorporating client feedback and maintaining an elevated level of design excellence in all deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designer, product managers, developers, and QA team to deliver a user experience as aesthetically pleasing, seamless, and cohesive as possible.
  • Participate in and help facilitate design thinking and discovery activities such as design workshops, digital system/style audits, competitive analysis, etc.
  • Act as a brand guardian, producing high-quality design work within tight timelines.    
  • You will be working across many different categories, producing designs to the client’s brief and exacting standards.  

 What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 4 years as a UI Designer in an agency or related field 
  • Impeccable understanding of typography, layout, color, and all other elements of visual design 
  • Expertise in product design, component-based design for CMS platforms, and user interactions 
  • Understanding of mobile, responsive design, accessibility guidelines, and Agile methodologies 
  • Strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and information architecture  
  • Able to craft beautiful interfaces that are intuitive to use, collaborate with team members throughout the product lifecycle to create a cohesive experience for end-users, and ensure designs adhere to UI standards and best practices  
  • You will have a strong attention to detail and be able to deliver on sprint timelines  
  • Ability to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion   
  • You are both happy to be very executional, following strict guidelines and creative in your approach  
  • Excellent listener with a passion for human-centered design 
  • Is proactive and has efficient time-management skills, and level-headed to maximize quality and efficiency in their work 
  • Effective communication and presentation skills 
  • Robust creative thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • A mindset that thrives in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities   
  • Excellent craft and expert knowledge of product design tools including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $105,000.00 to $115,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package. 
  • This role will be performed fully-remote with the expectancy of working central standard hours
