The Industrial Machinery Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment (e.g conveyors system, motors, pumps, production machinery, slicer, grinders, thermal formers, robots.)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive):
Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.

Job Summary:
The Industrial Machinery Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment (e.g conveyors system, motors, pumps, production machinery, slicer, grinders, thermal formers, robots.)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive):
- Repairs and maintains plant equipment.
- Repairs and maintains power support systems.
- Repairs and maintains hydraulic systems and equipment.
- Maintains lubrication of all equipment machinery.
- Troubleshoots and performs electrical repairs and wiring 24vdc up to 480volts.
- Understands and follows manufacturer's specifications for equipment operations and repairs.
- Competency with hand tools, power tools, welding and machine shop equipment.
- Examines finished product for defects and codes.
- Works scheduled shift and extended hours as required.
- Completes assigned weekly preventative maintenance and planned work orders.
- Maintains a daily shift call log.
- Generates and closes SAP work orders.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and recommending changes within your own area of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs through regular adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), performance of sanitation audits, food safety checks (HACCP), and product quality checks conducted according to organization policies. Actively participate in prevention and correction of quality-related errors.
- Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years experience in the repair and maintenance of filling and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time using effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.
- Ability to multitask while being detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in the workload.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Excellent attendance and dependability.
- Ability to read and write in the English language.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, unit of measure conversions.
