Job Description
Olsson is seeking an ambitious individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who is up for the challenge of establishing a formidable Olsson presence in Arizona. We are looking for a professional with expertise in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and/or Traffic Engineering, encompassing various elements related to transportation technology. If you possess experience in planning, design, operations, software, and fiber/wireless/copper communications systems, this opportunity is for you. We also value additional experience or background in traditional traffic engineering and/or emerging technologies such as connected and autonomous vehicles, vehicle electrification, microtransit, data analytics, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the expansion of Olsson's traffic and transportation technology practice in Arizona.
- Cultivate a larger client base, oversee projects, recruit additional staff, and introduce new service lines for both existing and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with technology experts from other Olsson practices, fostering cooperation and sharing knowledge and experience.
- Provide internal consultation to various offices and partners within the firm, establishing relationships and generating project opportunities both locally in Arizona and nationally.
- Offer guidance in assembling technical resources for crucial transportation technology projects, including support in pursuit strategies and teaming arrangements.
- Develop and maintain a renowned reputation for specialized expertise by delivering presentations at client and industry events, conferences, and industry-related publications.
- Exhibit exceptional communication and coordination skills, ensuring seamless collaboration across geographic locations.
We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Chandler, AZ or Phoenix, AZ office location.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in the consulting industry.
- Four years of experience serving as a project manager.
- PTOE (Professional Traffic Operations Engineer) preferred.
