Roaster and Production 2 (Assistant Roaster)
Overview:
The primary role is supporting the lead roaster by setting up green coffee, setting up and breaking down production cupping, and providing breaks to the lead roaster.
Compensation 2024: $22.55
Expectations:
- Proficiently roasting Loring Peregrine 70kg
- Proficiently roasting on the Diedrich CR 35kg
- In calibration on production cupping
- Green coffee setup
- Roaster cleaning maintenance
- Participates in production cupping using Olympia Coffee scoresheet when an assigned roasting shift.
- Setting up and breaking down production cuppings
- Reading and understanding-fulfilling production reports
- Labeling and date-stamping bags
- Operating packaging machines
- Troubleshoot packaging machines
- Order fulfillment-small packaging
- Order fulfillment-wholesale large packing delivery
- Inventory pick
- Inventory receiving and organization
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Demonstrates company values (determination, excellence, improvement teamwork)
- Ability to lift over 50lbs and co lift 152LBS
- Additional expectations to meet emerging needs
- Ability to train others on all expectations
- Forklift Certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.55 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
