Position Title Lead Non-Invasive Nurse Days - Full Time Olathe Health Pavilion 21120 W. 152nd St. Position Summary / Career Interest: The Lead Non-Invasive Nurse will manage the day to day workflow of the Pre and Post Cardiovascular Center and adjust staffing to volume as necessary. The Non-invasive lead associate will coordinate an interdisciplinary approach to the patient while promoting continuity through assessment and communication of the patient's plan, condition and progress toward outcomes. The Non-invasive team member will participate and demonstrate effective education and support for patients and their families to meet their physiological, psychological and spiritual needs. He/she practices within the boundaries of the applicable licensure/registration/certification board and/or agency, specialty standards, and organizational/departmental policies and procedures. Performs all activities and functions related to the recovery area including non-invasive procedures including but not limited to TEE, Tilt Table, Para/Thoracentesis, CCTA, CV. Assists in the continuum of patient care in all areas of the Kansas Cardiovascular Center. Actions and functions included but not limited to be the following: 1. Co-ordination of the patient admission/discharge to include patient arrival times taking into consideration timing of labs,consent, etc. to facilitate patient readiness and first start times. 2. Room set-up/cleaning/shut-down 3. Assignment of the rotation of the staff in recovery 4. Assignment of the patient transportation 5. Documentation of patient stay per policy. 6. Coordination and scheduling of procedures in recovery. 7. Develop Policy and Procedures related to recovery, ordering supplies, charging procedures, and inventory management.
