What are the responsibilities and job description for the Content Marketer (FT) position at Omega Optical LLC?

Assists by helping complete marketing projects and activities. Works in collaboration and provides back up support for the Marketing Manager. This is an entry level position.

Tasks:
  • Administration of HubSpot (CRM). 
  • Marketing analytics and reporting - knowledge of databases, advanced MS Excel skills, and Google Analytics. 
  • Written content for digital marketing outlets (email, social), white papers, flyers, blog posts, web pages (Writing sample requested).
  • Creative content development- infographics, graphics for social posts, ad creation, tradeshow booth graphics and formatting written content –knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud. (Example of work requested) 
  • Video creation and editing. (Example of video requested)
  • Email marketing management using HubSpot.
  • Social media management.
  • Website management- some knowledge of HTML, CSS.
  • PPC ad generation and administration –knowledge of Google Ads.
  • Tradeshow logistics management.

Requirements:
  •  Interest in learning more about optical filters and their applications.
  •  A curious nature.
  •  The ability to take constructive criticism as part of the editing process.
  •  The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and/or Experience: 
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with 5 years of experience in Marketing with a strong interest in science communication.
  • BS in a scientific or engineering discipline with an interest in Marketing or
  • a BS in Marketing, Graphic Design or English with interest in science and engineering. 
    
Language Skills:             
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, ability to write reports, business correspondence, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the general public. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Reasoning Ability:                    
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Strong attention to detail.

Computer Skills:                      
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong working knowledge of social media utilization, Google software, Microsoft Office Suite or related software. HTML, CSS.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
