What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Copywriter position at Omelet?
Omelet, an award-winning, independent creative agency with a growing and exciting client roster, is seeking an energetic and driven Junior Copywriter for its Culver City headquarters location (hybrid, in office 2x a week and as needed).
Candidates must be based in Los Angeles.
The Junior Copywriter will help develop concepts and campaigns across a variety of projects, and will write copy for digital, social, broadcast, and OOH. We are looking for a candidate who has tonal range (from earnest to slapstick), experience building presentation decks, and is able to interpret a creative brief. The Junior Copywriter is culturally curious, able to multi-task, and thrives on providing options.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep up to date with popular culture and trends
- Write and edit engaging, relevant, and original copy to meet a specified deadline
- Work on several campaigns at once
- Participate in strategic creative brainstorming sessions that produce fresh ideas
- Assist with proofreading copy to check spelling and grammar
- Assist with amending, revising, or redeveloping campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director or clients
- Work with brand management team to review creative strategies and execute marketing projects
- Maintain high creative standards through all stages of development and production
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed internship and/or 1 years experience as a copywriter in advertising, media, or production company
- The ability to collaborate, to take constructive criticism, and to seek out and act on peer/client feedback
- Capacity to initiate, take ownership, and complete projects
- Comfortable writing in multiple styles and for various formats and channels
